LADAKH, NORTHERN INDIA. Zanskar Padam LamayuruValley might be in the remote corner of Ladakh, but it is one of the most appealing places to visit in the Himalayas. Zanskar mountain range offers the most exciting trek owing to its altitude, not to forget the stunning panoramic views of the mountains. The entire trip is of 17 night’s duration, with April to September being the best months to travel. Leh is the starting point and then you move on to Padum for the Zanskar Padam Lamayuru trek. There are different routes to Padum, with several tented camping spots alongside the river of Zanskar. On day three, en route Kargil, you will be experiencing the spectacular glaciers while passing over the Penzi La pass that connects Zanskar Valley with Suru Valley. This drive to Suru is bound to be completely stunning. Upon reaching Padum, on day five, you can exploreRangdum Gompa, Zongkhul Monastery and Zang La Fort. A trek to Phugtal Monastery including the local sightseeing in Padum will be a great way to spend the whole day in Padum. In the following days of Zanskar Padam Lamayuru trip, you can visit some of the most remote yet gorgeous places like Pishu, Hanumil, Snertse, Singi La, Photoksar, Wanla, and Lamayuru. To progress through this tour, you can trek to all these different places. There are clear roads on which the vehicles, mostly, jeeps can be driven around from Wanla to Lamayuru. On reaching the last place in the itinerary, Lamayuru, do visit the mysticLamayuru Gompa, which is one of the oldest in Ladakh. Best time to travel - April to September.
Arrive Delhi. Met on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Early morning flight to Leh. Arrive Leh. Met on arrival at Leh aiprot and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure for acclimatization. In the evening visit Sankar Monastery, Shanti Stupa and Leh Bazar. Overnight stay at hotel.
Drive to Kargil via Alchi. Arrive Kargil and check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Drive to Padum. The drive through Suru Valley. Its one of the most spectacular drive. En route visit Rangdum Gompa. Arrive and check-into hotel / camp for overnight stay.
Day at leisure to explore the area. Overnight stay in hotel / tented camp.
Morning after breakfast start drive to reach Pishu (3610 M) by crossing the Zanskar river with a distance of appox 30 kms in 1 hrs. . Arrive Pishu and overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Hanumali (3690 M) by covering appox 14 kms in 4-5 hrs through Pidmu along left bank of Zanskar river. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Snertse (3745 M) by covering appox 15 kms in 5-6 hrs after crossing Purfi La (3900 M) with a steep and difficult climb. From here a steep decent to Oma chu river and then climb upto Snertse to a wonderful campsite. Overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Lingshet (3800 M) by covering appox 14 kms in 5-6 hrs, crossing over Hanuma La Pass (4700 M). It is not difficult to cross the pass. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Marling (3825 M) by covering appox 16 kms in 6-7 hrs by crossing over Singi La or Lion Pass (5230 M) which is the highest pass of this trek. The steep climb is through terminal moraine and then the long glacier. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Photoksar (3750 M) by covering appox 14 kms in 6-7 hrs. The climb to Boumitse Pass (4200 M) is easy and descent to Photoksar. There is an abondned Gompa here. Overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Hanupata (3770 M) by covering appox 12 kms in 4-5 hrs. A gentle climb upto a large chorten and then a long ascent to the pass. Descent to the river to cross the bridge to reach Photoksar. Overnight stay in tents.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Wanla (3070 M)by covering appox 11 kms in 4-5 hrs. Continuous descent across the slope upto the junction of the river, chorten and fluttering flages on the flat land. After crossing the ridge arrive at Franji La (3410 M) and descend to reach Wanla. Arrive and overnight stay in tents. * Now there is new motorable (Jeeps) road from Wanla to Lamayuru. But this is not a dependable road as its new and prone to breaks and land slide. So we will continue trek to Lamayuru next day.
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Lamayuru (3510 M) by covering appox 11 kms in 3-4 hrs. Follow the right bank of the river upto Shillkong gorge and cross the bridge to reach Shilla, pass the chorten and enter narrow and dry gorge to Prinkita La (3725 M) descend further to reach Lamayuru. Overnight stay in tents.
Morning visit to Lamayuru Gompa, one of the oldest and important in Ladakh. Drive to reach Leh by covering appox 120 kms in 5-6 hrs. Arrive and check-into hotel for overnight stay.
Full day sightseeing of Indus Valley Monasteries. Visit Hemis, Thiksey and Shey Monasteries. Overnight stay in hotel.
Morning flight to Delhi. Met on arrival and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.
Optional sightseeing of Delhi. Transfer to International airport in time to board flight for Onward Destination.

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.
For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.
Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.

We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.
Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
