Triund is located just 10 km away from McLeod Ganj in Dharamshala, resting in the foothills of the great Dhaula Dhar Range. You have two routes to trek to Triund- you can start from McLeod Ganj and then travel 2 km from there via road to reach Dharamshala and then trek 7 km to reach Triund. Another route starts from the Kareri village and you need to cross the Bhal Village from here to land up in Triund. There are many factors which draw tourists throughout the world to experience the joy of trekking in Triund, but mostly the incredible views and the easy process stand out. Best time to travel - March - May & August - October.
Welcome to the capital of India where hospitality is the key to life, a country which owns an enriching history featured through art, music, and dance. You will be received at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport by staffs dressed in traditional attires and performing rituals to welcome you to their native lands. After this, you will be guided towards your hotel and there you will spend the night.
You will arrive at the Delhi railway station to board the train for Amritsar. After reaching there and checking in the hotel, you will be visiting the Golden temple in the evening. The Golden temple dressed in golden extravaganza pulls tourists from all over the world as it is known as one of the popular shrines of the world. After offering your prayers over here you will visit the JallianwalaBagh, just next to it. This is the very spot where numerous Indian soldiers were martyred on the hands of British General Dyer. This incident was known as the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre and it took place in 1919. Presently this area has been converted into a park and it displays the memorials of the lost souls. After sightseeing, you will return to the hotel and call It a night.
The following morning after having breakfast you will leave for Dharamshala. As mentioned above, Dharamshala stands at the foothills of the Dhaula Dhar range and presents not only snow-clad mountains but also green forests and tea gardens. Probably Dharamshala is the only hill station where the snowline is easiest to access. Dharamshala has grown international over the years all thanks to the numerous Tibetan settlements in the region. Dharamshala also serves as the residence of Noble Laureate, the Dalai Lama.Dharamshala is divided into two parts: while the upper part homes various offices, markets, and the lower Dharamshala comprises of places like Forsyth Ganj and McLeod Ganj, which is also called a thriving little Tibet. After arriving in Dharamshala you will check in at the hotel. You are advised to spend the entire day indoors in order to allow yourself to acclimatize completely.
After waking up the next morning and having breakfast you will get ready for trekking. You will start trekking by crossing through the Rhododendron and pine forests and this will continue for 5 hours. After that, you will be guided towards a tea shop where you can take rest and enjoy the surroundings.You will come across the Gaddi Tribal people engaged in their daily activities; taking their cattle out in the pastures for grazing. After having lunch, you will continue with your ascent and will reach your camp. The camp will be placed amidst an alpine meadow overlooking the snow-capped mountains of the Dhaula Dhar hill range.
After spending the night at the campsite, you will proceed with your trekking after having breakfast. You will delve further by walking over a grassy ridge which will offer you long-lasting memories of the snowcapped mountains. Now you will have to descend to the Bagshu Nallaha stream, and you will do this by hopping over the boulders with the assistance of your local guides. Along the way, you will come across a set of natural springs and a divine shrine all located in the Bagshu Nag. After you have finished sightseeing these, you will continue with your journey to Dharamshala.
After getting a good night sleep at the hotel you will get ready to hop out, post breakfast. You will be visiting the residence of Dalai Lama and the Tibetan Buddhist Monastery which will present the enriching culture and heritage of the Tibetans. You will also explore the Namgyal Monastery which was established by the 3rd Dalai Lama, Sonam Gyatso. The monastery was founded to assist Dalai Lama to perform his daily religious activities for the welfare of Tibet and offer his daily prayers. But over the years, the monastery has also been imparting teachings to the young lamas and the Buddhist monks. After the Chinese invasion, when many Tibetan monks fled to Nepal and India, they preferred settling around the region of Dharamshala. During this time even the residence of Dalai Lama was shifted in McLeod Ganj and the original site of the Tibetan monastery was shifted outside of the Dalai Lama residence. The monastery complex comprises of an institute, a few small temples, and a monastery.This museum owns the credit of being the first of its kind in the entire region of Dharamshala. The museum designed blending traditional and modern Tibetan architectural styles and has separate areas for meetings, displays, and exhibitions. After you have gained a rich experience you will return back to your hotel and spend the night over here.
The following morning you will have breakfast and then leave for Chandigarh via roadways. After reaching Chandigarh you will check in at your hotel and then spend the night at the hotel.
From Chandigarh, you will have your breakfast and then travel to Delhi Airport via road. From the airport, you have to board flights for destinations as per your preference.

· All kitchen requirements of hotels and even camp requirements
· All meals till base camp to each and every guest and staff
· All current taxes are payable including the government service tax of 5 %.
· Equipment required by guests for trekking and climbing, climbing a rope, fix rope, crowbar, and Carabiner.
· Transportation charges of guests from road head to base camp and vice versa as payable to porters and ponies.
· All the individuals are covered by insurance as per the rules and regulations formulated by the government.
· Kitchen staff and escorts would accompany you till the base camp and will be responsible for providing meals.
EXCLUSIONS:
· Your personal clothing and the gears required during for climbing by the guests.
· Foods you would need to consume in the high altitude
· Additional charges like rooms’ services items, telephone calls at the hotel, tips paid at the hotel, table drinks etc.
· Any additional expenses caused by guests intentionally or unintentionally leading to a disturbance in the trip due to weather issues, sickness, natural disasters etc.
· Liability against loss of goods, accidents, injury, and loss of life
· Personal belongings like torches, sleeping bags, walking sticks
· When you obtain insurance, be sure to go for one that covers you for the maximum altitude you will climb in this trekking trip. You might also want to book for a helicopter rescue in advance in case you fall prey to AMS or altitude mountain sickness. After hunting through a few insurance providers and selecting the appropriate one you should write the name of ‘Shikhar Travels’ in the insurer field. After the process is successfully completed, you would be offered a piece of paper containing the details of your policy. You should immediately hand it over to ‘Shikhar Travels’ and the paper should definitely include your policy number and the 24-hour telephone number of your policy provider. Always remember, until and unless you submit it you would not benefit from it in times of distress.

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.
For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.
Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.
Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
