Morning after an early breakfast transfer to domestic airport to board one of the most spectacular Trans- Himalayan flight to Leh. Welcome on arrival at Leh airport (3500 mt) and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free for high altitude acclimatization. In the afternoon proceed to visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. later drop at the main Bazaar and walk down to the hotel.
Morning after breakfast, we will take you to sightseeing of Hemis,Shey & Thiksey Monastery. HEMIS (45 KMS. SOUTH OF LEH) This monastery is also known as Changchub Samling is 45km from Leh and is one of the richest, largest and most important monastery in Ladakh and has the patronage of the royal family. It was built in 1630 and belongs to the Drukpa Order. The famous Hemis festival is held annually in the month of June in honour of the renowned Indian sage Guru Padma Sambhava's birth and a 12 meter long thanka (the largest in the world) with his painting is displayed every 12 years. The monastery houses well-preserved frescoes with Kashmiri influence, including the famous "Wheel of Life", a three storey statue of Padmasambhava, silver chortens studded with precious and semi precious stones, an impressive library of Tibetan style books, large number of thankas and various images of Buddha. The view from the top of the monastery is truly a breathtaking. SHEY (15 KMS SOUTH OF LEH) On the East bank of the Indus river lies the beautiful Shey Monastery. Up to the 16th century it was the royal palace. There is a 17.5 m high blue haired Maitreya Buddha of copper, brass gilded and studded with precious gemstones. Morning after breakfast drive to Zigchen.From here start first day trek trek to Rumbak. Arrival of Chortens announces the village in vicinity. Rumbak is a small shepherd village with few houses. Overnight Camp at Rumbak village at the altitude of 3800 mt.
Morning after breakfast start trek to reach Yurutsu. Crossing to the right bank our trail climbs up the valley of a subsidiary stream to the tiny settlement of Yurutse. Camp is set a little beyond at the foot of the Ganda La pass.. Overnight camp.
Today is a long day & after early breakfast start trek towards Skiu over Gand La (4930 m). Cross the village, and follow the trail in the north direction valley being separated by the purple band or rock. Observe the contrast in the physical features to the Leh town and surroundings. Move in the south-west direction and by the time ascend to Gandala Pass must have almost gained the height by approx. 900 mtrs Descend down hill inside the Shingri Nallah. Arrive Skiu village (3380 mt).The tiny Skiu village entrance is dominate by the towering rock faces. Arrive and set the camp at Skiu for overnight stay.
Today we trek to Markha via Hermoger & Sase. An easy walk will be covered in about 6 hr. Markha (4500 m) is the main village at the height of about 4500 m. Arrive and set the camp at Markha for overnight stay.
The trail continues eastwards climbing steadily up the valley through the picturesque village of Markha and its interesting monastery, which is well worth visiting. Coming in from the south is the trail from Rubering La, one of the routes to Zanskar. From Markha the country changes and the warm, relatively heavily wooded section of the lower Markha is left behind. The trail continues past the twin villages of Lower and Upper Hankar. Between the two villages is a ruined fort, the walls of which climb sharply up a crag to an eerie lookout tower - worth visiting for those with an exceptionally good head for heights. We leave the Markha Valley and climb through a canyon to our alpine meadow camp at Tahungtse. Overnight Camp.
From Tahungtse the trail climbs steadily through alpine meadows towards the broad, undulating Nimaling plains at the base of the ice-clad Kang Yatze peak, which dominates the area. Nimaling with tiny ponds and rivulets flowing all over its meadows provides pasturage in the summer for an astonishing number of animals - yaks, dzos, sheep, goats, horses – not only from the Markha but also from villages all around. Set the camp on arrival for overnight stay.
oday we start our steep ascent of 4 to 5 km to Kongmor La (5200 m). On reaching the top one forgets the tiredness of the steep climb after viewing the beautiful range of Mountain peaks & feels refreshed. From the Pass we descend all the way to Chugdo (4050 mt). Overnight Camp at Chugdo.
Today make an easy descent along the Martselang to where it broadens into the valley of the Indus at Martselang village. Board the awaiting jeeps. Visit Hemis monastery and after that drive to Leh via Shey and Thiksey monastery. Overnight in a hotel Upon arrival at Hemis drive down to reach Leh. Arrive Leh and check it to the hotel for overnight stay.
Trek to Stok, Visit Stok Palace and museum and drive to Leh.
Morning after breakfast transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and further transfer to international airport to board flight for onward destination.

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.
For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.
Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.

Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.
Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
