The village stands on a hillock to the south of Bheri River, which at one time was supervised collection center of tolls for the trading caravans. Overnight stay at tea house lodge/ camp.
From Tarakot, we follow the path to upstream Tarap Chu River, crossing the bridge and crossing the same river twice. We head to Kamattarka at the confluence of the Tarap Chu and Lang Khola. After three or more hours of walk and we reach the village of DhoTarap surrounded by an irregular stonewall. In this Valley both Bon Po and Chaiba sects reside together. Tarap is also inhabited mostly by Magars who have lived there for many generations, and few Tibetans as well. Overnight stay at tea house lodge/ camp.
After continuous trek for nine days, today is finally the rest day. After breakfast, our trek starts with a steep climb to reach the top of Baga-la ridge at 5,070 m.
