Embarking on our journey begins from Kathmandu, the city with the remarkable architecture dated back to 16th Century. Our team representative will welcome you at the Tribhuwan International Airport and escort you to your designated hotel. Our representative will help you to check in to the hotel. You will be welcomed, facilitated and served with a beautiful hotel room. The first arrival day is entirely a break day. In the evening, our guests can walk around nearby touristic hubs like Thamel and Basantapur Durbar square.
Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal with a rich artistic and cultural heritage. Kathmandu has been one of the popular destinations for international tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The valley offers a wonderful mix of Hinduism and Buddhism. Right after having breakfast we are off to visit one of the greatest Hindu temple- Pashupatinath, and Boudhanath Stupa. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Right after breakfast we board a flight to Biratnagar. Even during the entire flight, we can enjoy the panoramic sights of great Himalayas of Nepal including Mt. Everest (8,848m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. ChoOyu(8,153m), Mt. Lhotse (8,501m), Mt. Lhotse Shar (8,393m), Kanchenjunga, Gaurishankar, Ganesh, Langtang etc. Upon reaching Biratnagar we prepare for the forthcoming journey. Overnight at hotel in Biratnagar.
We take again a short 30 minutes flight to Sukhetar. Upon reaching Sukhetar, we hike around the Sukhetar village and after some refreshments; we head to LaliKharka with the trekking crew. The trail will be accompanied by rich pastures and pristine settlements. After several descents for 2 – 3 hours, we arrive in LaliKharka. Overnight stay at tea house/camp in LaliKharka.
After traversing the hillside for a short distance we descend to the village of Pokara in the PhawaKhola and then cross a suspension bridge before beginning the steep climb towards Kunjari. The afternoon’s walk takes us up over the crest of the ridge to our campsite at Keswa. From Keswa, we get our first view of Mt. Kanchenjunga along with Mt. Yulung and other Himalayas as well. Overnight stay at tea house/camp in Keswa.
From Keswa we trek through pleasant terraced fields and traverse a steep mountainside high above the KabeliKhola. Continuing the journey, we cross several villages like Funfun and continue along a shady path to Apan. We get to see first distant view of Jannu (7710m), one of the most impressive peaks in the region. Eventually we reach the prosperous village of Mamanke. Overnight at tea house/camp in Mamanke.
After having breakfast in the early morning at the camp, our trek begins with an easy climb towards Yamphudin. The trail goes through hillside above the KabeliKhola; ridges and streambeds. Along the way, we can stop to swim in one of the many clear pools in this beautiful river. Our ultimate destination for the day is Yamphudin, which is the most remote settlement in this region. Overnight at tea house/camp in Yamphudin.
Leaving Yamphudin, the trail ascends to cross the OmjeKhola. We walk through a beautiful and dense forest from where we can have fine views of the valley beyond Yamphudin to the south and of the OmjeKhola Valley and DeoraliDanda to the north. A steep descent to the river will bring us to our campsite in Lamite forest. Overnight at tea house/camp.
From the Lamite Jungle camp, we ascend steeply for three hours through dense forests to the crest of the DeoraliDanda, which is a best destination to catch a glimpse of Mt. Jannu. Moving ahead, we descend to the valley of SimbuaKhola and upon crossing the bridge we arrive in Torontan. Overnight at tea house/camp in Torontan.
In the early morning after having breakfast at the camp, we follow the path of right bank of the river and the path passes through the pine and rhododendron forests. From here, we have to make a steep climb to reach Tseram which offers us the stunning views of snow- capped Himalayas and massive muzzle of Yalung glacier. Overnight at tea house/ camp in Tseram.
Right after having breakfast, we trek for couple of hours to reach the destination. As we ascend we can see clear sights of Yalung glaciers, series of ablation valley, Kokthan, Rothong and Kabru. Overnight at tea house/camp in Ramche.
Today is a rest day in Ramche. However, we can also hike around Ramche. From Ramche, we can have a first close encounter with Kanchenjunga and Khumbakarna glacier flowing from the east face of Jannu. Then we return to our campsite in Ramche. Overnight at tea house/camp in Ramche.
Leaving our Ramche campsite we trek down the valley, passing the small settlement of Lapsang, before turning towards the Mirgin La – the pass we must cross in order to reach Gunsa and the north side of Kanchenjunga. As we descend from the Mirgin La, the views of Mt. Jannu accompany us with its magnificent views. Overnight at tea house/camp in Mirgin La.
We have to make a steep but easy descent from our campsite that brings us to Lamba Sumba Kharka which offers more splendid views of the awesome southwest face of Jannu. The trail descends on an excellent route to the village of Gunsa. Overnight stay at camp.
From Gunsa, our journey moves up to Kyapra that passes through the beautiful Gunsa and TamurKholas, spectacular forests of rhododendrons, conifers, birch and oaks. The valley sides are steep and the trail follows the river as it cascades downwards. Our accommodation will be arranged in Kyapra, one of the Tibetan villages. Overnight at tea house/camp in Kyapra.
Heading towards the village of Sakathum, our route follows an undulating trail for the first couple of hours until we reach Amjilasa[2460m]. From here, there is a long steep descent from where we can see the GunsaKhola Valley stretched out before us. Overnight at tea house/camp in Sakathum.
On the way to Chirwa, we come across the confluence of two rivers – SimbuaKhola and GunsaKhola at TamurKosi. On the way, we come across several other small tributary streams. After trekking for about 4 – 5 hours we enter the pristine village of Chirwa. Overnight at tea house/camp in Chirwa.
We follow the path to Phurumba by crossing the cultivated land and rich pastures. Then our trail weaves through the path of steep stones. After making a climb for about four hours, you reach the destination for the day. Overnight at tea house/camp in Phurumba.
From Phurumba we move towards Taplejung village by following ascending path for about three hours. Upon reaching Taplejung, we observe and explore the traditional village life, cultural richness, and custom of local people. After leisurely ascents for another two more hours, we finally reach the airstrip at Suketar where we conclude the trip of the day. Overnight at tea house in Suketar.
After breakfast, we check in to the airport in order to board a flight to Biratnagar & then again take a flight to Kathmandu. Upon reaching the Kathmandu airport, the guide will transfer you to the designated hotel. In the evening, you have a free time for your personal interest. Evening farewell dinner will be organized at the Nepali restaurant with cultural program. Overnight stay at hotel.
This is the last day of your visit. You can enjoy shopping and buying souvenir to friends and relatives. We will drop you to the airport 3hrs prior to the departure time.

Your contract is with Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour / hotel booking / or any other travel related services of your choice and we have received your booking request and deposits. All correspondence/s in respect of Tours / Travel Service bookings should be addressed to Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels.
For the services contracted, 40 % advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis and the balance amount should be paid before commencement of your tour. We hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as an advance payment, based on the nature of services and the time left for the commencement of the services.
Payment can be made by Bank Transfer, Cash payment to our office or by Demand Draft / Cheque. All payments should be free and clear of any withholding tax and deduction. Bank charges, if any, for remittance (by remitting bank or by intermediary bank) would be strictly borne by payer.
Tour once commenced will strictly go as per the itinerary finalised. In case of events and circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to change all or parts of the contents of the itinerary for safety and well being of our esteemed passengers.
In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:
Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.
In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.
Where as in case of Cancellation before the commencement, it will take atleast two weeks time to refund the said amount.
Please note that after the finalization of the tour/service cost, if there are any hikes in entrance fees of monuments/museums, taxes, fuel cost or guide charges by the Govt. of India, the same would be charged as extra.
Mountain Adventure Tours & Travels act only in the capacity of agent for the hotels, airlines, transporters, railways & contractors providing other services & all exchange orders, receipts, contracts & tickets issued by us are issued subject to terms & conditions under which these services are provided by them.
All itineraries are sample itineraries, intended to give you a general idea of the likely trip schedule. Numerous factors such as weather, road conditions, the physical ability of the participants etc. may dictate itinerary changes either before the tour or while on the trail. We reserve the right to change any schedule in the interest of the trip participants’ safety, comfort & general well being.
Our rates are based on the prevailing rates as negotiated by us with the hotels, airlines etc. Hotels and Airlines retain the right to modify the rates without notice. In case of such changes the rates quoted before the modification, can be changed by us according to the modifications by hotels or airlines. All hotel bookings are based on usual check in and checkout time of the hotels until unless indicated in the itinerary.
We shall not be responsible for any delays & alterations in the programme or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, flight cancellations, accident, breakdown of machinery or equipments, breakdown of transport, weather, sickness, landslides, political closures or any untoward incidents.
We shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of GOD, dangers, fire, accident, breakdown in machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, wars, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferages, epidemics, medical or custom department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond our control.
We do not have any insurance policy covering the expenses for accident, sickness, loss due to theft, or any other reasons. Visitors are advised to seek such insurance arrangements in their home country. All baggage & personal property/s at all times are at the client’s risk.
To travel to India from overseas countries except for the citizen of Nepal & Bhutan, one needs a 06 months valid passport and a valid Visa. And processing of Passport and Visa are not included in the tour cost.
Any person who has a contagious disease is forbidden to travel, any person found during the tour with such a disease will be asked to leave the tour and will have to make their own arrangements to return home.
